FESCO Employees Set to Receive Hardship Allowance – Financial Impact Under Review:
The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) has taken a significant step toward the welfare of its employees by proposing a Hardship Allowance equivalent to one-month basic pay as of February 28, 2025. This initiative aims to provide financial relief to all FESCO employees, including those on regular, contract, deputation, daily wages, and consultancy roles, as well as officers hired on lump sum pay packages.
The notification, issued by FESCO’s Administration Directorate, seeks an estimate of the financial impact of the allowance before presenting the proposal to the Board of Directors (BOD) for final approval. The move comes in response to a request from the All Pakistan WAPDA Hydro Electric Workers Union (APWHEWU), as referenced in their letter dated March 3, 2025.
If approved, this Hardship Allowance will provide essential financial relief to FESCO employees, recognizing their dedication and continuous service in the energy sector. The final decision will be subject to the financial review and approval process.
