Strengthening Pakistan’s Power Sector – What This Means for the Public:
The declaration of power sector entities as essential services is a crucial step toward ensuring stability in electricity distribution across the country. By giving legal protection to power companies, the government aims to prevent service disruptions, improve management, and enhance overall power infrastructure.
Consumers can expect better service reliability, faster issue resolution, and a more responsive power supply system under this new regulation. Meanwhile, power sector employees and management must adhere to compliance directives to maintain the sector’s efficiency.
