Government Notification: Strict Budget Control for Balochistan’s Education Sector

Government Notification: Balochistan School Education Department Updates Budget Utilization Policy:

The Government of Balochistan has issued a new official notification regarding the utilization of the Cluster Budget for the Financial Year 2024-25 under the School Education Department. The latest order modifies a previous directive issued on 11th October 2024, restricting budget utilization to specific account heads.

As per the competent authority’s decision, the Cluster Budget can now only be utilized under the following categories:
Reading & Writing Materials (A03970 – Others)
Pension, G.P Fund, Group Insurance, Benevolent Fund & Leave Encashment

Any misuse of funds beyond these specified categories will result in disciplinary action against the responsible DDOs, Heads of Institutions, and Schools. This move is in line with the Government of Pakistan’s vision for financial transparency and a corruption-free education system. For complete details, please refer to the official notification below. NO.SO/EDU:/(B)/3-26/Quetta /2024/11025-52/     In partial modification of this Department’s Order No.SO/EDU:/(B)/3-26/Quetta /2024 /52970- 53187 dated: 11th October, 2024, Secretary, School Education Department, i.e. Competent Authority/ Principal Accounting Officer, is hereby pleased to allow utilisation of Cluster Budget in the Financial Year, 2024-25, to the extent of the following head(s) of accounts only :-

1. A03970-Others (Reading Writing Material);
2. Pension, G.P Fund, Group Insurance, Benevolent Fund & Leave Encashment.

2.                     Utilisation of funds in head(s) other than those specified above shall attract disciplinary proceedings against the delinquent DDOs/Head(s) of Institutions/Schools.
