Government Of Gilgit Baltistan Announces Adhoc Relief Allowance 2024 For Its Civil Employees-Notification

Gilgit, dated, the 19^th July, 2024

NOTIFICATION

No.Fin-Reg-1(3)/2024-25: Consequent upon the approval of the Gilgit-Balitistan Assembly and as authenticated by the Governor Gilgit-Balitistan, the Government of Gilgit-Balitistan has been pleased to sanction with effect from 1^st July, 2024 and till further orders, an Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2024 to the civil employees of the Gilgit-Balitistan Government including contract employees employed against civil posts in Basic Pay Scales on standard terms and conditions of contract appointment. The rate of Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2024 is as under:

1. BPS-1 to BPS-16                        @ 25% on Running Basic Pay
2. BPS-17 to BPS-22                      @ 20% on Running Basic Pay

2.         The amount of Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2024: 

1. Will be admissible during leave and entire period of LPR except during extra-ordinary leaves.
2. Will not be treated as part of emoluments for the purpose of calculation of Pension/Gratuity and recovery of House Rent.
3. Will not be admissible to the employees on their repatriation from posting/deputation abroad at the rate and amount which would have been admissible to them had they not been posted abroad.
4. The Ad-hoc Relief Allowance will be admissible during the period of suspension.

3.         The terms “Basic Pay” for the purpose of Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2024 will also include the amount of the personal pay (PP) granted on account of annual increments(s) beyond the maximum of the existing pay scales.

4.         The above Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2024 shall be accommodated from within the budgetary allocation for the year 2024-25 by the respective Secretariats / Departments and no supplementary grants would be given on this account.
