Higher Education Department Announces New Vice Chancellor for ITU Lahore:
In an important development for higher education in Punjab, the Government of Punjab’s Higher Education Department has officially appointed Dr. Adnan Noor Mian as the Vice Chancellor of the Information Technology University (ITU) of the Punjab, Lahore. This decision follows the recommendations of the Search Committee constituted under the directives of the Higher Education Department. The appointment, approved by the Chief Minister in accordance with Article 105 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and relevant provisions of the Information Technology University of the Punjab Act, 2012, signifies a key step towards strengthening leadership within one of the province’s premier academic institutions. Pursuant to the recommendations submitted by the Search Committee constituted vide Higher Education Department’s Notification No. SO(Univ.)5-1/2018.VOL-V dated 30.05.2024. the Chief Minister has been pleased to appoint Dr. Adnan Noor Mian as Vice Chancellor of the Information Technology University of the Punjab, Lahore in terms of Article 105 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, read with Section 9(4) of the Information Technology University of the Punjab Act, 2012 and entry 11 of Part-A of the Third Schedule of the Punjab Government Rules of Business 2011, for a period of four years.
