Sindh Schools to Observe Holiday on 14th February for Shab-e-Barat:
The Government of Sindh has officially announced a public holiday for all public and private schools across the province on 14th February 2025 in observance of Shab-e-Barat (15th Shaban-1446 AH). This decision was made in a Sub-committee meeting of the Steering Committee on Education held on 28th November 2024.
As per the notification issued by the School Education & Literacy Department, Sindh, all educational institutions under its administrative control will remain closed on the said date. The directive applies to both government and private schools, ensuring that students and staff can observe this important Islamic occasion.
Shab-e-Barat is regarded as a night of forgiveness, prayers, and spiritual reflection in Islam, and many schools and institutions observe a holiday to allow students and teachers to participate in religious activities. Notification Describes;

NO.SO (A&T-1)/SE&LD/DCN/9(3)/2024: In pursuance of the decision taken in the Sub- committee meeting of Steering Committee on Education, held on 28″ November, 2024, all public & Private Educational Institutions under the Administrative Control of School Education & Literacy Department, Government of Sindh shall remain closed on Friday, 14th February, 2025 on account of Shab-e-Barat (15th Shaban-1446).
