SUBJECT: CALLING ATTENTION NOTICE
Kindly find enclosed herewith a copy of the National Assembly Secretariat’s letter No. C.A.N No. 2/2025-Motions (13th Session), dated 23-1-2025 on the subject cited above and to convey that the Calling Attention Notice moved by various Members of the National Assembly will be discussed in the National Assembly Session on 10th February, 2025. The honorable Minister for Power has to respond to it :-
“We invite the attention of the Minister for Energy (Power Division) to a matter of urgent public importance regarding recent decision to not absorb employees of the Generation Companies (GENCOs) into various distribution Companies (DISCOs) and other organizations/attached departments under the Power Division which has created significant issues and far-reaching implications for the affected employees, causing grave concern amongst the public”.
2. It is requested that approved brief/working papers on the subject calling attention notice may kindly be furnished to this Section Today Positively for information of the Minister for Power.
3. It is also requested to kindly brief the honorable Minister for Power Division on the subject calling attention notice, please.
