Subject:           APPOINTMENT OF SARDAR SALEEM HAIDER KHAN AS GOVERNOR OF THE PROVINCE OF PUNJAB

In clause of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 101 of the Constitution, the President, on the advise of the Prime Minister, has been pleased to appoint Sardar Saleem Haider Khan as Governor of the Province of the Punjab Oath of Office of the Governor designate will he administered by the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, Lahore

2.             The Commission of Appointment in respect of Sardar Saleem Haider Khan is enclosed. It will be read out at the swearing-in-ceremony, before the Oath of Office is administered to the Governor designate. The draft Oath of Office is also enclosed, which will be signed by the Governor and the Chief justice of the Lahore High Court, Lahore. Date on the Commission of appointment may he added before the Oath taking ceremony.

3.             The actual tone and date of assumption of office by the Governor may please be intimated to the Cabinet Division on Far No. 051-9201357 for the issuance of the necessary notification.
