SUBJECT:- FORMATION OF STUDENTS’ COUNCILS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS OF PUNJAB

2. I am directed to inform that Govt. of the Punjab; School Education Department is making earnest efforts to enhance education across public schools and boost students’ capabilities through various means. Consequently. the establishment of student councils in government schools is a vital step towards enhancing learning &leadership capabilities. Attached along is a comprehensive guideline in Urdu, outlining the process of setting up student councils in government schools. By adhering to these steps. Government schools can establish dynamic and efficient student councils, empowering students to assume leadership roles and foster positive impacts within their schools. Moreover, election schedule is as under:-

Nomination of election candidates	May 8-10
Scrutiny of candidates/Announcement of final candidates/Hearing of appeals	May 11
Award of election symbols	May 11
Preparation of posters by the candidates	May 12
Election Campaign	May 13-15
Publication of ballot papers/preparations of elections	May 13-15
Election day/voting/ Announcement of election results	May 16
Filling of election petitions/decisions.	May 17
