Pharmacy Council of Pakistan Takes Steps to Improve Educational Standards:
The Pharmacy Council of Pakistan (PCP) has issued an official government notification regarding the mandatory submission of faculty details by all recognized pharmacy institutions across the country. This step is being taken to ensure that all institutions maintain the required faculty qualifications and standards, as prescribed under the Pharmacy Act, 1967, and the Pharm D Regulations, 2005.
The PCP has emphasized that having a qualified teaching faculty is essential for maintaining high-quality pharmacy education. All approved institutions are required to provide a detailed list of their faculty members, including name, CNIC, qualification, designation, and date of joining. Additionally, institutions must also update their official websites with faculty details and allocated seats, ensuring transparency for students, parents, and stakeholders.
Institutions failing to comply with this directive by February 17, 2025, may face strict action from the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan. All data must be submitted both in hard copy and electronic format to the provided PCP email address. Please find the notification:

CIRCULAR
SUBJECT: PROVISION OF DETAILS REGARDING FACULTY IN THE DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACY.
Reference is drawn to the subject captioned above.
2. The Pharmacy Council of Pakistan, by virtue of Section 17 of the Pharmacy Act, 1967, read with Pharm D Regulations, 2005, and PCP (Qualification for appointment of Teachers) Regulations, 2015, is mandated with the function of regulating pharmacy education in Pakistan, particularly focusing on maintaining the standard of pharmacy education across the country.
3. The hiring and having appropriate faculty, in accordance with prescribed parameters, is a critical factor in maintaining educational standards in any institution. Therefore, to ensure that all approved/ recognized institutions are operating with the requisite faculty, it is hereby required that the following information regarding faculty be submitted by all institutions:

4. The requisite information should reach the office of the undersigned at the earliest but not later than Feb 17, 2025 without any fail so that the same can be uploaded on the website of Pharmacy Council of Pakistan both in hard form and in excel sheet atpepblucarea@gmail.com. It is also advised that every institute must have an active website where all relevant details, inter alia, that of faculty, number of allocated seats must be uploaded for information of students, parents and other stakeholders.
5. It may be noted that submission of any misleading or incorrect information in this regard my entail strict action by the PCP
