PAC Chairman Election: Opposition Submits Nominations to NA Speaker:
The formation of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is a critical component of Pakistan’s democratic process, ensuring accountability, transparency, and oversight in the use of public funds. Refer to the letter of Chief Whip Ruling Party dated 27-12-2024 seeking nomination for Chairman, Public Accounts Committee from the Opposition.
In this regard, the Opposition has nominated the following 4-member Panel out of which one would be chosen for the election of the Chairman Public Accounts Committee: –
1. Mr. Junaid Akbar Khan
2. Mr. Muhammad Aamir Dogar
3. Sheikh Waqas Akram
4. Khawaja Sheraz Mehmood
5. Omar Ayab khan
You are therefore requested to convene the PAC meeting for the election of the Chairman Public Accounts Committee at the earliest please.
