PEIMA Notification on Enhanced Subsidies: Transforming Education in Punjab:

The Punjab Education Initiatives Management Authority (PEIMA) issued a notification (No. FIN/PEIMA/01/2024/806S) on 9^th January 2025, announcing a significant enhancement in subsidy rates effective from 1^st December 2024. This decision follows the approval granted by the Authority during its 23^rd meeting on 19th November 2024. The revised rates aim to address critical aspects of school operations, including tuition fees, administrative and operational expenses, and additional funding for co-curricular and infrastructure development.

The notification introduces a comprehensive breakdown of subsidies, ensuring improvements in various educational and infrastructural domains. These include incentives for sports facilities, science labs, IT and Ed-Tech interventions, and library enhancements to promote STEM education. NO. FIN/PEIMA/01/2024/806S: Consequent upon the approval by Authority in its 23^rd meeting held on 19-11-2024, subsidy rates have been enhanced w.e.f. 1^st December, 2024 as per following detail:

Note:

1. The routine repair and maintenance of classrooms, toilets, doors, windows, furniture, and other school assets shall be the responsibility of the licensee under these enhanced rates along with payment of salaries to the staff and payment of utilities etc.
2. The institutional licensees would be paid Management Cost up to 30% of base rate to cover their monitoring, teachers training and administrative costs to manage the cluster of schools in particular district and headquarter level.
