Punjab Schools Timing Changed: New Summer Schedule Issued for April–October 2025:
The Punjab School Education Department has officially announced revised school timings for all public schools across the province, effective from April 11 to October 15, 2025. This updated directive comes following the approval of the Competent Authority and applies to all single shift, double shift, and evening shift schools in Punjab.
For students, the new timings begin as early as 7:30 AM, while Friday schedules end earlier to accommodate prayers. Teachers, on the other hand, are now expected to participate in lesson planning, resource preparation, and CPD (Continuous Professional Development) activities during extended hours and on alternate Saturdays. This shift aims to enhance academic performance and school management across all districts.

NO.SO(A-1)1-31/2022: Consequent upon approval of the Competent Authority, the following revised school timings w.e.f 11.04.2025 to 15.10.2025 is hereby notified with immediate effect which shall be observed in all Public Schools in the Punjab:
A. FOR STUDENTS

2. All Chief Executive Officers (District Education Authorities) in Punjab are directed to ensure strict compliance of Revised School Timings. Any negligence or non- compliance by CEOS (DEA) will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
Note: The Chief Executive Officer (DEA) concerned may make adjustment of 15-minutes gap in opening and closing time of girls schools in the district.
