STI Recruitment 2025: Punjab School Education Department Announces Hiring SOPs for Teaching Interns:
The Government of Punjab’s School Education Department has officially released comprehensive guidelines for the transparent and efficient hiring of School Teaching Interns (STIs) 2025 across primary, elementary, high, and higher secondary schools. This initiative aims to meet the teacher shortage in need-based schools while ensuring a merit-based selection process.
According to the official notification, school heads and principals have been granted STI portal access, and strict merit criteria have been set to ensure fair hiring. The process includes interviews for at least 10 aspiring candidates per position, verification of original academic documents, and the appointment of BS-16 and BS-18 officers to oversee proceedings.
Additionally, the Punjab Government has introduced a tutorial video and PDF guidelines to assist schools with the STI portal, reinforcing transparency. Special administrative arrangements for interviews, waiting areas, drinking water, and female candidates’ interview schedules have also been outlined. Notification Describes;

5. All the School Heads, Headmasters, Headmistresses, Senior Headmasters, Senior Headmistress & Principals, in the schools of Punjab.
Subject :- Â Â Â Â Â GUIDELINES/SOPS FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF SCHOOL TEACHING INTERNSHIP (STIs) PROGRAM.
Reference to the subject cited above.
I am directed to convey that Competent Authority has approved the following guidelines to ensure hiring of School Teaching Interns (STIs) in need-based schools in a transparent and efficient manner:
i.         Logins of concerned Principals/school heads have been synchronized with the STI portal for their use.
ii.        At least 10 aspiring candidates may be called for interview against each STI position. Candidates having same academic marks/tie on their first priority. may be called for interview.
iii.      Aspiring candidates appearing in interview may be informed to bring their original transcripts/degrees.
iv. The merit of candidates will be prepared in accordance with the criteria laid down in para 2 (III) & 2 (V) of the STI Policy.
v.        For Primary & Elementary level schools, the AEO concerned may nominate his/her representative not below the rank of BS-16 to attend the proceedings of the hiring committee in schools. Similarly, for High & Higher Secondary level schools, the DDEO concerned may nominate his/her representative not below the rank of BS-18 to attend proceedings of the hiring committee in order to meet time lines.
vi.       The Hiring Committee will enter interview marks in portal by using logins of Principal/school head concerned. Marks, once entered will be final and non- editable.
vii.      For better understanding of STI portal, a tutorial video (online-link) as well as literature in PDF format has already been shared in official whatsapp group of CEOS.
viii.    In case of any query regarding use of STI portal, Mr. Aqeel Feroz Head of IT PMIU (03214409022) may be contacted.
ix.       You are required to make sufficient administrative arrangements for interviews i.e. waiting areas, sitting arrangements, drinking water, help desk and parking space.
x.        Interviews of female candidates must be completed before 3:30 pm.
