Major Administrative Reshuffle in Punjab Higher Education Department – April 2025 Notification:
The Government of Punjab’s Higher Education Department (HED) has officially issued a notification dated 14th April, 2025, announcing the re-designation of key administrative posts along with the transfer and new postings of senior officers. This move comes after formal approval from the Competent Authority, aimed at improving departmental functioning and aligning roles with updated administrative priorities.
According to the notification, the post of Additional Secretary (Establishment) has now been re-designated as Additional Secretary (A&G), and the Additional Secretary (E&G) post has been changed to Additional Secretary (SI). Following this change, two senior officers have been posted as per the updated structure:
- Mr. Muhammad Majid Iqbal is now posted as Additional Secretary (SI)
- Mr. Muhammad Azam is posted as Additional Secretary (E&G)
