School Education Department Strengthens Madaaris and Schools Oversight:
The Directorate of Religious Education Punjab, Lahore, has issued a critical notification concerning the monitoring and evaluation of the taken-over Madaaris and schools in Punjab (excluding Attock and Bhakkar). This directive follows the approval of the Madaaris & Schools Management Board in its 17th meeting on November 8, 2023, and subsequent validation by the School Education Department. The initiative underscores the importance of deploying field formations from the School Education Department to oversee the performance of 208 institutions effectively. This step aims to ensure the institutions’ operational excellence through enhanced supervision and consolidated reporting. Notification Describes;

Subject :- MONITORING & EVALUATION OF TAKEN-OVER MADAARIS & SCHOOL THROUGH FIELD FORMATION OF SCHOOL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
Kindly refer to the subject noted above and to intimate that the approval of Madaaris & Schools Management Board In its 17th meeting held on 08-11-2023 and consequent approval of School Education Department vide letter No. SO(ME-I)8-1/2025 dated 02.01.2025, of the following agenda item as follows :-

| For more effective monitoring & evaluation of 208 Taken-over institutions, it is proposed that field formations comprising Acting Chief Executive Officers (DEA), District Education Officers, Deputy District Education Officers and Assistant Education Officers may be directed to visit their concerned Taken-over institutions to enhance the effectiveness of these institutions | The Board approved the proposal for monitoring and evaluation of Taken-over institutions through field formation of School Education Department. Further, the consolidated monitoring report will be presented in each Board meeting. |
2. In view of the above, you are hereby requested to abide by the said decisions and directions of the Madaaris & Schools Management Board and take necessary measures accordingly.
