Sindh Government Approves Rs. 1.6 Billion for Guzara Allowance & Eid Packages:

In a major relief initiative for the underprivileged, the Government of Sindh has approved the transfer of Rs. 1,600 million from the Provincial Zakat Fund to Sindh Bank Limited for disbursement to 100,000 verified Zakat beneficiaries. This fund covers the first and second installments of Guzara Allowance along with Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha packages for the financial year 2024-25.

Key Highlights of the Notification:

• Each beneficiary will receive Rs. 16,000, including Guzara Allowance and Eid Packages.
• Payments to be credited to Sindh Bank’s Benazir Muawinat Card (ATM Card).
• Funds will be released only after biometric verification to ensure transparency.
• Distribution to be completed before Ramzan-ul-Mubarak 1446 AH.

The Guzara Allowance is a critical financial support program designed to assist low-income families across Sindh, ensuring they receive monthly financial aid along with special assistance during Eid celebrations. The Sindh Government has ensured a strict verification process to prevent misuse and ensure that only genuine beneficiaries receive financial support.

SUBJECT:             TRANSFER OF FUNDS AMOUNTING TO RS. 1600.00 MILLION FROM PROVINCIAL ZAKAT FUND ACCOUNT NO.3 TO SINDH BANK LIMITED KARACHI FOR DISBURSEMENT TO (100,000 ZAKAT BENEFICIARIES) AT THE RATE OF BS. 16,000/- TO EACH BENEFICIARY AS 1^ST & 2^ND INSTALLMENTS OF GUZARA ALLOWANCE ALONGWITH EID PACKAGES (EID-UL-FITAR + EID-UL-AZHA) FOR THE YEAR 2024-25

                              I am directed to refer to this Department’s advice No. CAZ/SINDH/AAO/1(328)/2024-25 dated 04-02-2025 on the subject noted above and to inform that an amount of Rs. 1,600.00 Million (Rupees one thousand six hundred million) has been transferred from Provincial Zakat Fund Account No. III to Account No. 0202-1100162-0018 of Sindh Bank Limited maintained at State Bank of Pakistan Karachi for disbursement of 1″ & 2m installments of Guzara Allowance alongwith Eid-Packages (Eid-ul-Fitar + Eid-ul-Azha) at the rate of Rs. 16,000/- (sixteen thousand) per beneficiary to 100,000 bio-metrically verified beneficiaries of Guzara Allowance for the year 2024-25.

2.                        It is needless to mention here that as per slandered operating procedure all the ATM Cards have already been blocked and all such Cards shall be activated after bio-metric verification only and the funds will be credited to the bio-metrically verified beneficiaries of Guzara Allowance accordingly.

3.                           It is therefore requested that above amount at the rate of Rs. 16,000/- (Rupees sixteen thousand only) will be credited into the account of each beneficiary of Benazir Muawinat Card of Guzara Allowance (Sindh Bank ATM Card) as 1^st & 2^nd installments of Guzara Allowance (Rs. 12000/- at the rate Rs. 1000/- per month) alongwith Eid-Packages (Eid-ul-Fitar at the rate Rs. 2000/- + Eid-ul-Azha at the rate Rs. 2000/-) before Ramzan-ul-Mubarak 1446 AH for the financially year 2024-25, under intimation to this Department.
