Sindh Forest & Wildlife Department Announces Fresh Recruitment for BS-17 Officers:
The Government of Sindh’s Forest & Wildlife Department has officially announced the requisition for the selection of Sub-Divisional Forest Officers (BS-17) through the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC). This recruitment aims to fill seven vacancies (04 Rural + 03 Urban) to strengthen forest conservation and management efforts in Sindh.
Eligible candidates must hold an M.Sc. Forestry or B.S. Forestry degree, with Forestry as a major subject and other relevant disciplines as per the Higher Education Commission (HEC) syllabus. The department had previously withdrawn a similar requisition due to administrative reasons, but with the approval of the Honourable Advisor to the Chief Minister, Sindh, the recruitment process has now resumed.
Given the shortage of Sub-Divisional Forest Officers, the Sindh Government has urged SPSC to expedite the selection process and finalize appointments at the earliest. SUBJECT: REQUISITION FOR SELECTION OF SUB-DIVISIONAL FOREST OFFICERS (BS-17) IN FOREST & WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT THROUGH SINDH PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION.
Reference: (i) This department’s letter of even number dated 5th November, 2024
(ii) This department’s letter of even number dated 30th January, 2025.
I am directed to refer to the above letters and to state that this department placed earlier requisition on the subject matter vide letter of even number dated 5th November, 2024 followed by letter dated 30th January, 2025 regarding withdrawal of earlier requisition due to some compelling reasons mentioned therein.
2. In continuation of the earlier correspondence mentioned under reference and with the approval of the competent authority i.e. Honourable Advisor to Chief Minister, Sindh for Forest & Wildlife Department, the fresh requisition on the prescribed proforma duly supported with notified recruitment rules is hereby submitted for processing and placing the fresh advertisement for selection of (07) (04 Rural + 03 Urban) suitable candidates, who are possessing M.Sc Forestry / B.S Forestry and are eligible for appointment as Sub-Divisional Forest Officer (BPS-17) in Forest & Wildlife Department.
Note: M.Sc / B.S Degrees with Forestry as major subject comprising of other relevant subjects as per syllabus duly approved by Higher Education Commission, Pakistan for award of H.Sc / B.S Forestry Degree shall only be applicable as required qualification to apply as eligible candidates (copy attached).
3. Since the department has been facing shortage of Sub-Divisional Forest Officers hence the selection process may please be accelerated and finalized within an earliest possible time.
