Sindh Government Declares March 28 Holiday for Schools on Shab-e-Qadr–Official Notification Issued

Sindh Schools to Observe Holiday on Shab-e-Qadr:

The Government of Sindh has officially announced that all public and private schools under the School Education & Literacy Department will remain closed on Friday, March 28, 2025, in observance of Shab-e-Qadr (27th Ramzan 1446 Hijri).

This decision was finalized in a Sub-Committee meeting of the Steering Committee on Education, held on November 28, 2024. As a result, students, teachers, and school staff across Sindh will have a day off to participate in religious activities on this sacred night.

Shab-e-Qadr, also known as the Night of Power, holds immense religious significance in Islam. It is believed to be the night when the Holy Quran was first revealed, making it a time for prayers, devotion, and spiritual reflection.

NO.SO(A&T-I)/SE&LD/SCM/9(3)/2023: In pursuance of the decision taken in the Sub-committee meeting of Steering Committee on Education, held on 28^th November, 2024, all Public & Private Educational Institutions under the Administrative Control of School Education & Literacy Department, Government of Sindh shall remain closed on Friday, 28^th March, 2025, on account of “Shab-e-Qadar” (27^th Ramazan-1446).
