Chief Minister Sindh Approves Exclusive Use of Pakistan Post for Official Mail:

The Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Sindh, has issued a directive reinforcing the Federal Cabinet’s decision to utilize the services of Pakistan Post for all official domestic and international correspondence. This notification, dated January 7th, 2025, underscores the Federal Government’s commitment to promoting the use of national institutions for efficient and secure mail delivery. The directive has been communicated through the Postmaster General Sindh & Baluchistan’s correspondence and seeks compliance from all government departments and affiliated offices within Sindh. This initiative is in line with previous Cabinet Division notifications issued in 2018 and 2019, aiming to standardize and streamline government mailing procedures while leveraging the extensive network and capabilities of Pakistan Post. By implementing this decision, government offices can ensure timely and reliable communication channels, supporting the broader objective of strengthening national postal services and fostering collaboration among state institutions. Subject :-       FEDERAL CABINET DECISION TO USE SERVICES OF PAKISTAN POST.

I am directed to refer to the subject noted above and to state that the Postmaster General Sindh & Baluchistan vide his letter dated 24 December, 2024 has conveyed a decision of Federal Govemment, communicated vide Cabinet Division’s U.O No. 7-1/2018-Min-I dated 20 March, 2018, and U.O No. 7-1/2019-Min-I dated 10-04-2019, which stipulates the usage of the services of Pakistan Post by all the government offices for all kinds of domestic and international mail.

Therefore, with the approval of the Honourable Chief Minister, Sindh, I am directed to request to comply with the decision of Federal Government and to ensure utilization of the services of Pakistan Post for mailing all kinds of domestic and international official correspondence, under intimation to this Secretariat.
