The Government of Sindh’s School Education & Literacy Department (SELD) has issued a crucial notification, dated 21st January 2025, outlining the responsibilities assigned to the Directorate General of Monitoring and Evaluation (DG M&E) under the Sindh Early Learning Enhancement through Classroom Transformation (SELECT) project. NOTIFICATION
NO.SO(G-III)SELD/4-1304/25: With the approval of the Competent Authority, the Directorate General of Monitoring and Evaluation (DG M&E) Office is entrusted with the following tasks under the Sindh Early Learning Enhancement through Classroom Transformation (SELECT) project, initiated by the School Education and Literacy Department and supported by the World Bank, Global Partnership for Education, and the Government of Sindh, for project-supported schools.
- The trained (Master Trainers) Monitoring Officers/Assistants will facilitate the technical sessions of User Training on the SAMRS app in SELECT project districts. PMIU-SELECT will host the training and bear all associated expenses.
- The trained (Master Trainers) Monitoring Officers/Assistants will provide technical support and address any system-related issues for Head Teachers of the SELECT Project schools across 12 districts in Sindh.
- The trained (Master Trainers) Monitoring Officers/Assistants will conduct random verification of data uploaded on the SAMRS app from project-supported schools.
- The DG M&E Office will generate district-wise and overall monthly summary reports on:
- Uploaded student attendance and redress data.
- Results of random verifications conducted by Monitoring Officers/Assistants.
- The DG M&E Office will produce bi-annual reports documenting lessons learned and recommendations regarding the implementation fidelity of the attendance system. These reports will be submitted to the Secretary SELD, Government of Sindh, for informed decision-making.
