Sindh Government Addresses Payment Delays for SELECT Project Trainers:

The Sindh Early Learning Enhancement Through Classroom Transformation (SELECT) Project plays a crucial role in improving primary education across Sindh. However, concerns were recently raised regarding the delayed payments for Master Trainers (MTs), Guide Teachers (GTs), and Subject Coordinators (SCs) in District Badin.

In response, the Reform Support Unit (RSU) of the School Education & Literacy Department has acknowledged the issue and assured that steps are being taken to expedite the payment process. The delay stems from the requirement of proper documentation, including timesheets, classroom observation data, and assessment reports, which are necessary for compliance and accountability.

To resolve this issue quickly, the authorities have urged all GTs and SCs to submit their required documents without further delay. This will not only ensure timely payment but also facilitate the smooth continuation of CPD activities under the SELECT Project.

SUBJECT:             Request for Release of Payment for Master Trainees (NTR), Guide Teachers (GTs) and

Subject Coordinators (SCs) under SELECT Project, District Badin

Reference: Letter No. DEO/Prim:/360 Badin dated: 28-01-2025.

With reference to your letter cited above, we would like to acknowledge the concerns raised regarding the delay in the release of payment for Master Trainers (MTs), Guide Teachers (GTs), and Subject Coordinators (SCs) who were engaged in the Sindh Early Learning Enhancement through Classroom Transformation (SELECT) Project in District Badin. In light of urgency of this matter, we have raised the issue with the authorities concerned who are working diligently to ensure that the payment is released at the earliest.

We fully understand the critical role of these dedicated professionals in the successful implementation of the SELECT Project, particularly in conducting Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities, IT-based classroom observation, and formative assessment.

Additionally, we would like to highlight that CPD mobility allowance is directly linked to CPD activities, which require, the submission of proper documentation and reports, including duly signed timesheets, one-pager reports, classroom observation data, formative assessment data, and bank account details. These processes are ere essential for ensuring accountability and compliance but understandably these take time during the initial period. The payment can only be processed upon the successful completion of these requirements.

However, your immediate intervention is requested to instruct the GTs and SCs to fully cooperate in the effective implementation of CPD activities, utilize and submit digital data, and ensure the timely submission of the necessary documentation. This will not only help in resolving the financial concerns but also facilitate the smooth continuation of the project activities.

We deeply value the hard work and commitment of the MTs, GTs, and SCs in District Badin and assure you that we are making every effort to resolve this issue promptly. Your continued support and cooperation in this regard are highly appreciated.
