Government Pushes for Maximum School Enrollment in D.I. Khan – Awareness Campaign Initiated:
The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has taken a major step to enhance school enrollment across Dera Ismail Khan. A high-level meeting, chaired by the Deputy Commissioner D.I. Khan, emphasized the need for immediate action to ensure that more children enroll in schools for the upcoming academic session.
Key stakeholders, including the District Education Officers (Male & Female), attended the meeting to finalize a strategic plan for increasing student enrollment. The directives include: Launching awareness campaigns through banners and mosques across the district.
Holding Parent-Teacher Council (PTC) meetings to encourage school admissions.
Outsourcing selected schools to improve education standards.
Requesting additional funding to hire teachers and enhance resources.
Taking strict action against ghost schools that exist only on paper.

MINUTES OF THE MEETING REGARDING ENROLLMENT OF SCHOOLS
A meeting regarding enrollment of school, was held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner D.I.Khan on 10th March 2025.
The following attended the meeting:-
1. District Education Officer (Male) D.I.Khan.
2. District Education Officer (Female) D.I.Khan.
The meeting started with verses of Holy Quran whereafter the Chair welcomed the participants. Opening the discussion, the Chair briefed the forum that the Provincial Govt: has directed for enhancement the upcoming enrollment of students in schools in the District DIKhan. After the detailed discussion following decisions were made:-
- All the Assistant commissioners in District DIKhan to initiate awareness campaign through Banners etc for enrollment at their respective Tehsils.
- Parent-Teachers Council meetings must be held before the start of enrollment of students.
- Awareness campaign for school enrollments may be started immediately through Masques in all over the District.
- The District Education Officers (Male & Female) shall identify the schools for outsourced schooling system.
- The District Education Officers (Male & Female) shall take-up the case with quarter concerned for release of fund for hiring the teachers.
- Strict action against Ghost schools shall be made under intimation to all concerned.
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks from the Chair.
