Sindh Government Restores Recruitment for PST/JEST in Jacobabad:

The Government of Sindh has officially resumed the recruitment process for Primary School Teachers (PSTs) and Junior Elementary School Teachers (JESTs) in Jacobabad. This decision follows complaints regarding irregularities, mismanagement, and non-cooperation in the previous recruitment process, leading to its temporary suspension.

According to the latest Government Notification, the Secretary of the School Education & Literacy Department (SELD) has taken strict action by reassigning the District Education Officer (Primary), Jacobabad, as the acting Chairperson of the District Selection Committee (DSC). This move ensures that the recruitment process is completed fairly, transparently, and in accordance with the Recruitment Policy 2021.

SUBJECT:             DIRECTIONS TO RESUME THE PROCESS OF RECRUITMENT OF WAITING CANDIDATES FOR THE POST OF PST/JEST AT DISTRICT JACABABAD

                              I am directed to refer to the subject noted above, and to inform that the process of recruitment for the posts of PSTs/JESTs was halted at district Jacobabad, vide letter No.D.G/HR&TRAINING /SELD/JESTs & PSTs /Recruitment/1-56/2020/4793, dated: 14-01-2025, in response of the complains of misbehavior, non-cooperation, and violations in recruitment process of PSTs/JESTs, received from waiting candidates of District Jacobabad.

                              The Secretary SELD has taken serious notice of the issue, and with the approval of the competent authority, the charge of Chairpersonship DSC Jacobabad has been assigned to District Education Officer (Primary), vide No.SO(GA)SE&LD/JEST&PST/2025, dated: 6-02-2025, and the District Education Officer (Primary) Jacobabad has assumed the charge of acting Chairperson DSC Jacobabad.

                              In view of above, the recruitment process is hereby re-stored, with the directions to finalize the process on the available vacant posts as per merit/ rules in the light of Recruitment policy 2021, transparently, without any further delay.
