Sindh School Education Department Issues Clarification on Teacher Pay Scales:
The Government of Sindh’s School Education & Literacy Department has issued a clarification regarding the pay scales of teachers initially appointed in BPS-09, running in BPS-14, and later awarded BPS-16. This update follows a recent meeting with the Finance Department, held on March 7, 2025, to discuss the status of other cadre teachers.
To move forward with this matter, the School Education & Literacy Department has directed the Director School Education offices in Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, and Larkana to submit detailed information regarding teachers of other cadres, including PT, Jr. PET, Sr. PET, and others, using the prescribed proforma.
This data collection is crucial for the Finance Department to take the necessary steps as per government policy and regulations. All relevant offices are requested to submit the required details at the earliest to avoid delays in further proceedings. Notification Describes;

SUBJECT: CLARIFICATION REGARDING OT, DT, PET, SLT & WI INITIALLY APPOINTED IN BPS-09 RUNNING SCALE IN BSP-14 AND AWARDED SCALE BPS-16.
I am directed to refer to the subject noted above and to inform you that a meeting was convened by Finance Department in respect of other cadre teachers of School Education & Literacy Department on 07.03.2025. During meeting information has been required by the Finance Department.
2. You are therefore, requested to furnish details of teachers of other cadre (PT/Jr. PET/Sr. PET) on the prescribed proforma (attached) as soon as possible to this department for onward submission to Finance Department, for taking further necessary action as per rules/policy.
