Balochistan Announces New Office Timings for Summer 2025–Official Government Notification

Summer Working Hours Announced for Balochistan Govt Offices – S&GAD Notification 2025:

The Government of Balochistan, through the Services & General Administration Department (S&GAD), has issued a fresh Government Notification regarding revised summer office timings for all government departments and subordinate offices across the province.

According to this official directive dated 07^th April 2025, the new timings will be in effect from 15^th April 2025 to 14^th October 2025. Offices observing a 5-day workweek (Monday to Friday) will now operate from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with designated lunch and prayer breaks. Friday’s schedule is slightly shortened due to extended Friday prayers, with closing time at 3:30 PM.

However, this timing does not apply to hospitals, educational institutions, and their attached offices, which will operate six days a week, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and on Fridays until 12:00 PM. This move aims to accommodate changing weather conditions and improve administrative efficiency during the scorching summer months.

SUBJECT:             OFFICE TIMINGS DURING THE SUMMER SEASON, 2025,

The Government of Balochistan is pleased to notify for general information of all Administrative Departments and their subordinate offices to observe the following office timings during the Summer Season w.e.f 15^th April, 2025 to 14^th October, 2025.

OFFICES WORKING ON 5-DAYS A WEEK

Monday-Thursday	08:00 AM to 4:00 PM (with half hour lunch/prayer break from 01:30 PM to 02:00 PM.
Friday	08:00 AM to 03:30 PM (with one hour lunch/Friday prayer break from 01:15 PM to 02:15 PM
Saturday-Sunday	Closed

                              The above mentioned summer timings will not be applicable on Hospitals and Educational Institutions i.e. Universities/Colleges/Schools. The attach offices of Health and Education Department will remain open on 06-working days basis from 08:00 AM to 02:00 PM and Friday From 08:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
