Federal Government Rightsizing Initiative: Streamlining Power Division and Associated Entities:
The Government of Pakistan, under the guidance of the Institutional Reforms Cell (IRC) in the Cabinet Division, is dedicated to improving governance and operational efficiency across federal entities. As part of the ongoing rightsizing initiative, sub-committee meetings have been convened to address critical aspects of human resource management and budgetary allocations, particularly within the Power Division and its affiliated organizational entities.
This notification highlights the importance of streamlining administrative control and optimizing resources in key sectors such as power generation, transmission, and distribution. The involvement of entities like NEECA, PHL, GENCOs, NTDC, PPIB, PPMC, PITC, NPPMC, GHCL, and DISCOs underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring the effective functioning of these organizations. Accurate and timely submission of information in the prescribed MS Excel format, accompanied by a one-page brief on each entity, is vital to facilitate the decision-making process within the IRC. I am directed to refer to meetings of Sub-Committee held at Cabinet Division, in which specific issues relating to Human Resource and Budget were discussed regarding your Ministry and Organizational Entities working under your administrative control.
2. It is requested that the information of the main Ministry as per the attached performa may kindly be filled and furnished to this office in soft (MS Excel format) and hard form, latest by January 24+, 2025 before the closing of the office hours. Furthermore, a one pager brief on the following Entities are required:
- NEECA
- PHL
- GENCOs
- NTDC
- PPIB
- PPMC
- PITC
- NPPMC
- GHCL
- DISCOs
