Government of Pakistan Introduces New Pension Regulations for Transparency:
The Directorate of Public Instruction (Elementary Education), Punjab, has issued instructions for addressing matters related to Writ Petition No. 79/2021 (Masood Ahmad, etc. vs. Chief Secretary, etc.) and other associated petitions. The directives stem from a letter issued by the Government of Punjab, School Education Department, dated 01-01-2025. These writ petitions primarily pertain to the ex-post facto sanction of erratic appointments for various teachers, enabling them to claim pensionary benefits.
The instructions specifically focus on preparing and submitting a comprehensive list of teachers whose appointments require ex-post facto approval. This step is critical to ensure compliance with court directives and facilitate a systematic resolution of the matters raised in the petitions. Notification Describes;

Please find enclosed herewith a copy of letter No. SO(SE-IV-B) 4-140/2017(P-1) Dated 01-01-2025 along-with its enclosures issued by Govt. of the Punjab, School Education Department, Lahore, on the subject cited above
In the light of School Education Department’s above mentioned letter, it has been communicated that some other teachers filed Writ petition No. 1555/2014 (Nighat Yasmin), 1556/2014 (Shagufta Sultana), 2889/2014 (Shazia Bashir & 6 others), 1553/2014, (Rukhsana Parveen), 1554/2014(Sitara Jabeen) 1766/2014( Shabnum-un-Nisa), 1767/2014 (Khalda Bibi), 1768/2014 (Feroza Begum) and 122/2015 (Ambreen Shakir) before the Hon’ble court with the prayer to accord ex-post facto sanction of their erratic appointment against the post of PET as EST(G-SV) enabling them to draw their pensionary benefits.
The School Education Department has desired to prepare and submit a list of teachers which are to be required to furnish a list of remaining teachers which are to be required ex-post facto approval of irregular / erratic appointments of (G/SV) teachers.
