Subject:       DECISION OF THE CABINET MEETING HELD ON TUESDAY, 27^th AUGUST, 2024

Dear Sir,

I am directed to refer to Cabinet Secretariat, Establishment Division’s letter No. 1(1)/2023-Member (MSW) dated 06.09.2024 (copy enclosed) on the subject noted above and to state that Establishment Division apprised that Federal Cabinet on its meeting held on 27^th August, 2024 approved the recommendation of the High Powers Committee on Rightsizing of the Federal Government as below,

“60% of vacant regular posts to be abolished, or declared dying posts”.

• For the implementation of the above decision, Establishment Division along with the Finance Division has been made responsible to provide information/detail of abolished posts or posts declared dying to Cabinet Division. In this regard, the Establishment Division requested to provide the information/ details along with a copy of notifications about abolished posts or posts declared as dying on the format enclosed.
• It is therefore, requested that the requisite information/detail along with a copy of notifications about abolished posts or posts declared as dying on the format enclosed pertaining to your organized be provided to this Division by 12^th September, 2024 before closing hours.

The matter may be treated as Top Priority.
