Government Revises Pay Fixation Rules for Employees with Higher Time Scale Before Introduction of Basic Pay Scales-2011 Implementation-Notification

Subject:-        FIXATION OF PAY ON GRANT OF HIGHER TIME SCALE

The undersigned is directed to say that consequent upon grant of higher Time Scale to various categories of employees, it has been brought to the notice of Finance Division that some employees after grant of higher Time Scale before introduction of Basic Pay Scales-2011 are getting less pay than that would have been admissible to them had the grant of higher Time Scale taken place after the introduction of BPS-2011. Two examples are quoted below:-

2.  It has been decided that in case of grant of higher Time Scale, before the introduction of Basic Pay Scales-2011, it may be ensured that the pay of the employee concerned in the higher Time Scale may be so fixed/enhanced that it would not be less than the pay that would have been admissible to him, if grant of higher Time Scale had taken place after the introduction of Basic Pay Scales-2011. Pay so enhanced/re-fixed would be admissible w.e.f. 01-07-2011.
