Implementation of Minimum Wage Rates for Local Government Employees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – Notification

Subject:           RECOMMENDATION OF MINIMUM RATES OF WAGES BY THE GOVERNMENT OF KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA,

I am directed to enclose herewith a copy of Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Labour Department, Notification No.SOL/I.D/8-4/2024/MWB/3364-84 dated 04/09/2024, on the subject noted above and to convey that the Competent Authority has been pleased to adopt the Notification regarding minimum wages rates @ Rs.36,000/- per month, with immediate effect, for the fixed pay employees, of Capital Metropolitan Government Peshawar/All TMAs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Regional Municipal Officers, Local Governance School & Local Council Board, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the following terms and conditions.

1. The Tehsil Local Government may, from time to time, on need basis, hire the services of workers, on daily wages basis, from its own source revenue.
2. Provided that such cost remains less than 10% of the revenue of own source of the Tehsil Council in a financial year.
3. Provided further that the daily wagers, appointed under this sub-rule shall not be eligible for regularization of their services and such condition such be reflected in their work agreements.
4. Hiring of daily wage workers shall be subject to need, justification and financial resources.
