PCTB Implements New Schemes of Studies for Secondary Education in Punjab to Begin in 2025-26:
The Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB) is dedicated to providing high-quality and standardized education to students across the province. In alignment with the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board Act, 2015, and following deliberations in the 121st meeting of the Board of Governors held on December 3, 2024, significant updates have been made to the Schemes of Studies for Humanities and Science Groups at the Matric/Secondary School level (Grades IX-X). These changes aim to better equip students with the knowledge and skills required to meet the challenges of an evolving educational landscape. With a focus on enhancing academic rigor and fostering a comprehensive learning experience, the updated schemes are designed for implementation starting from the Academic Session 2025-26. Notification Describes;

NOTIFICATION
No. M-49-03/PCTB/2024: In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 9(3)(c) of the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board Act, 2015 and in pursuance of the decision taken in 121s meeting of the Board of Governors of the PCTB held on 03.12.2024, the Schemes of Studies for Humanities Group (Annex-A) and Science Group (Annex-B) of Matric / Secondary School Level (Grades IX-X) is hereby notified for implementation with effect from the Academic Session 2025-26 onwards.
