NOTIFICATION

No. SO(L&P)MW/2024:      In exercise of the powers conferred under section 6 of the Punjab Minimum Wages Act, 2019 (XXVIII of 2019), Governor of the Punjab, on the recommendation of Minimum Wages Board, is pleased to fix the following minimum rates of wages for unskilled adult & adolescent workers employed in all industrial and commercial establishmentsin the Province:

(a) Rs. 37,000/- per month (for 26 working days)

(b) Rs. 1,423.07/- per day (for 8 working hours)

2.    The employer shall be allowed forfollowing deduction in lieu of accommodation and transport facility provided to the workerssubject to agreement between them:

(a) for accommodation Rs. 459.03/- per month

(b) for transport facility Rs. 98.28/- per month

3.       For work of equal value, a woman worker shall get the equal rates of wages as allowed to a man worker of the category for such work.

4.       This notification shall come into force with effect from 1st July, 2024.

NOTIFICATION

No. SO(L&P)MW/2024:      In exercise of the powers conferred under section 17 of the Punjab Domestic Workers Act, 2019 (II of 2019), Governor of the Punjab, on recommendation of the Minimum Wages Board, is pleased to fix the following minimum rates of wages for the Domestic Workers employed in all households of the Province:-

(a) Rs. 37,000/- per month (for 26 working days)

(b) Rs. 1,423.07 per day (for 8 working hours)

(c) Rs. 177.88 per hour

2.           The employer shall be allowed for following deduction in lieu of accommodation and transport facility provided to the domestic workers subject to agreement between them:

(a) for accommodation Rs. 459.03/- per month

(b) for transport facility Rs. 98.28/- per month

3.        The existing rates of wages, if higher than the minimum rates of wages as fixed aforesaid, shall not be reduced. However, the employer shall be free to pay higher rates of wages either unilaterally on his own initiative or by mutual agreement in view of any special considerations including higher grade of skill or experience or higher cost of living in a particular locality or any other reasons.

4.        For work of equal value, a female domestic worker shall get the equal rates of wages as allowed to a male domestic worker for such work.

5.         This notification shall come into force with effect from 1st July, 2024.

NOTIFICATION

No. SO(L&P)MW/2024:      In exercise of the powers conferred under section 6 of the Punjab Minimum Wages Act, 2019 (XXVIII of 2019), Governor of the Punjab, on recommendation of Minimum Wages Board, is pleased to fix the minimum rates of wages (per month of 26 working days & per day of 8 working hours) as per Appendix-A for all categories of workers (Highly Skilled, Skilled & Semi-Skilled) employed in the industries & establishments in the Province mentioned in Para 5 of this Notification.

2.         The employer shall be allowed for following deduction in lieu of accommodation and transport facility provided to the workers subject to agreement between them:

(a) for accommodation Rs. 459.03/- per month

(b) for transport facility Rs. 98.28/- per month

3.         The existing rates of wages, if higher than the minimum rates of wages as fixed aforesaid, shall not be reduced. However, the employer shall be free to pay higher rates of wages eitherunilaterally on his own initiative or by mutual agreement in view of any special considerations including higher grade of skill or experience or higher cost of living in a particular locality or any other reasons.

16. Clock & Optical Manufacturing,

18. Cotton Ginning and Pressing,
