Punjab Teachers Must Submit Maximum Preferences – E-Transfer Policy 2025 Explained:
The School Education Department (SED) Punjab has officially opened the E-Transfer Round 2025, as per the Government Notification dated 8th April, 2025. This round is specifically for teachers awaiting posting and those recently promoted, under the provisions of the E-Transfer Policy 2024.
Teachers are strongly advised to submit maximum preferences for vacant posts through the SIS Portal, to avoid auto-posting by the department. In cases where no preferences or limited preferences are submitted, the department holds the authority to assign the teacher to any available post, without further consultation.
This move ensures a streamlined and transparent process for teacher transfers across Punjab. It also reduces delays in school postings, enabling better academic continuity for students.
This update is crucial for all government school teachers in Punjab, especially those looking to secure favorable placements. Stay informed with Vocal Pakistan – your trusted source for Government Notifications and Punjab teacher transfer updates. Please find notification:

Teachers Urged to Act Quickly in E-Transfer Round – Don’t Miss SIS Preferences Window:
As the 2025 e-transfer round goes live, the Punjab School Education Department (SED) reiterates its message: submit maximum preferences now to avoid automatic postings. With the SIS Portal already active for this purpose, the department emphasizes that no exceptions will be made once preferences close.
This update is particularly relevant for promoted teachers and those awaiting posting. As outlined in paragraphs 7(viii) and 11-1(viii) of the E-Transfer Policy 2024, failure to act will result in automatic placement by the department—possibly in far-flung or undesired locations.
To ensure teachers are well-positioned and schools remain adequately staffed, the SED is taking a firm stance on digital transparency and accountability. The process not only saves administrative time but promotes fairness in teacher allocation across the province.
