BISE Lahore Enforces Strict Ban on Sharing Guess Papers & Exam Material Online:
The Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE), Lahore, has taken a strict stance against the unauthorized sharing of guess papers, pairing schemes, and old question papers on social media platforms. A recent notification issued by the Controller of Examinations highlights the growing concern over such practices and warns of serious legal consequences for violators.
According to Section 3(a)(iv),(x) & (xii) of the University and Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act, 1950 (amended in 1999), the sharing or abetting of such material is a punishable crime, with penalties including imprisonment of up to three years and fines up to Rs. 50,000. Additionally, individuals involved in circulating exam-related materials on WhatsApp or other social media platforms could also face action under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016.
Educational authorities, including directors, deputy directors, and CEOs of District Education Authorities, have been instructed to alert all public and private teachers to refrain from posting such materials. Any teacher or individual found violating this ban will face strict legal action. Please find the official notification below:

SUBJECT: STRICT BAN ON UPLOADING & SHARING OF GUESS PAPERS, PAIRING SCHEME & BISE OLD/PREVIOUS QUESTION PAPERS ETC. OF THE BISE ON SOCIAL MEDIA
Apropos the subject referred to supra.
2. The Competent Authority / Commissioner, Lahore Division / Chairman, BISE, Lahore has taken serious notice of the sharing of guess papers, pairing schemes and old question papers on different WhatsApp Groups operated by Government or Private teachers or any other person(s). As per Section 3(a)(iv),(x) & (xii) of the University and Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act, 1950, as amended in 1999;
“Such practices are considered as a crime and whoever is guilty of attempting or abating this shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years and with fine which may extend to Rs.50,000/-.”
As such, sharing of Guess papers, Pairing Schemes
and BISE old / previous Question-Papers on Social Media Groups is strictly banned.
3. Moreover, the persons found guilty of such disinformation / sharing of such material on Social media are liable to be punished under the prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016.
4. Foregoing in view, It is, therefore, requested kindly to issue necessary directions, to all the Public and Private teachers through their Heads/Principals, who are running social media groups not to share any kind of material regarding BISE Examinations otherwise strict lawful action shall be initiated against them.

Educate students and teachers on the legal consequences of circulating such content.
Promote ethical study practices to discourage reliance on unauthorized exam materials.
