WAPDA Rewards Coaches for National Athletics Championship Victories:
In a major boost for sports professionals, WAPDA Sports Board has approved the promotion and upgradation of athletics coaches who played a key role in securing gold medals for WAPDA at the 52nd National Athletics Championship 2024 in Multan. This recognition comes as part of the official policy for sports promotions, ensuring that talented and hardworking professionals are rewarded for their contributions to the sports sector.
As per the latest government notification, three athletics coaches, Rana Muhammad Saleem, Muhammad Akram, and Saddam Hussain, have been promoted to higher pay scales based on the achievements of their teams. This move highlights WAPDA’s commitment to supporting and encouraging sports professionals and fostering excellence in national athletics.
The concerned authorities have been directed to issue formal promotion orders after completing all necessary procedures. This initiative will serve as a motivation for sports professionals across Pakistan to continue striving for excellence at national and international levels. I take this opportunity to inform that in accordance with clause 1(B)(i) of O/o No. GM (Admn)/AD (E.I.A)0703 8/35/39148-78 dated 15/09/1998, Competent authority has recommended the promotion/upgradation of sports person on winning Gold Medal in the event mentioned below against each:
