Azad Kashmir Government Announces Ramadan Working Hours for Schools:

The Azad Government of Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has officially announced the Ramadan working hours for all government and private educational institutions across the region. This decision aims to accommodate students and teachers during the holy month by adjusting school timings accordingly.

According to the Elementary and Secondary Education Secretariat, schools will observe the following schedule during Ramadan:

• Monday to Saturday (except Friday): 08:30 AM to 01:30 PM
• Friday: 08:30 AM to 12:00 PM

The government has also clarified that after Ramadan, all schools will resume their regular working hours as per the previous notification issued on August 15, 2024 (Document No. Secretariat E&SE/Admin/79-2024/19167).

This step reflects the government’s commitment to facilitating students and teachers during the fasting month, ensuring a comfortable learning environment while maintaining academic productivity.

The Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education, Azad Government of Jammu and Kashmir has approved the following working hours for all government and private educational institutions throughout Azad Kashmir during the month of Ramadan:

Note: After Ramadan, the working hours of all educational institutions under the regulations will be as per the document number Secretariat E&SE/Admin/79-2024/19167 dated 15th August 2024 issued by this Secretariat.
