New Markup Rate for State Provident Fund Set at 13.97% for Punjab Government Employees for 2023-2024-Notification

IESCO Warns Against Political Influence: Disciplinary Action for Misconduct in Service Matters-Notification

It has been observed with grave concern that many officers/officials working in IESCO frequently exploit political/higher-ups influence on IESCO management for various routine establishment matters especially transfer / posting, promotion, upgradation, allotment of quarter etc. Such acts have a negative impact on organizational efficiency i.e. affecting management decisions, Policy implementation, and breach of trust. Operational disruptions as well as reducing the overall effectiveness and professionalism of the dealing heads. 2. The competent authority has taken serious view of the situation and has directed that such like practices will not be tolerated in future and any employee found involved in inserting political/higher-ups pressure on IESCO management for service related matters will be dealt with disciplinary action under relevant Rules since the same is misconduct as per Conduct Rules. Moreover, credential will be highlighted and noted in yearly performance evaluation report and will be duly considered during promotion/upgradation and placement of the employee concerned. 3 . Effective immediately, the consumption of gutka/manpuri, or any similar substances within the office including common areas and workspaces, is strictly prohibited/banned without any kind of relaxation. 3. All employees are therefore, strictly directed to comply with the instructions to regain the desired standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the premises of Finance Department and the cases of such delinquent employee(s) will be processed under E&D rules -1973. In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 48 of the Punjab Public Financial Management Act, 2022 (XXXVII of 2022), Governor of the Punjab is pleased to make the following amendments in the Punjab Delegation of Financial Powers Rules, 2016, with immediate effect AMENDMENTS In the Punjab Delegation of Financial Powers Rules 2016, in the Second Schedule, in Part-I, in Sr. No. 8 “Unto Rs.800.000 million. The undersigned is directed to refer to the subject noted above and to state that in pursuance of Cabinet Decision in case No ECC-134/13/2024 dated 27.06 .2024 Federal Government has decided that in future. Contributory Pension Fund Scheme shall be introduced for all the Civil Employees of the Federal Government including Civilian paid from Defence Estimates who are appointed on regular basis on or after 01.07.2024. This scheme shall also be applicable to the Armed Forces who are appointed on regular basis on or after 01.07.2025. 2. The rate of contribution from the employees and the Federal Government as under; (I) Contribution @ 10% of the Basic Pay by the employees (ii) Contribution @ 20% of the Basic Pay of the employees by the Federal Government. 3 .
