No.SO(SE-II)18-80/2021 GOVERNMENT OF THE PUNJAB SCHOOL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT Dated Lahore the 22nd July, 2024 Subject:           AMENDMENT IN LEAVE ENCASHMENT (LPR) BY FINANCE DEPARTMENT I am directed to refer to the subject cited above and to state that Finance Department vide Notification bearing No. FD.SR.II/2-97/2019 dated 01.06.2023 has notified amendments in Rule 17 of Revised Leave Rules, 1981 whereby a civil servant, who desires to get the benefit of encashment of LPR, shall submit his written application to his/her Appointing Authority for grant of LPR, at least three months before the date of commencement of his LPR. It has come into the notice of the Competent Authority that concerned offices are not forwarding the cases of LPR well before time and in the light of notification issued by the Finance Department. 2.                     I am, therefore, directed to convey to follow the instructions issued by the Finance Department and forward the cases of LPR to the Department at least three months before the date of commencement of LPR with relevant documents, proper examination and clear recommendations.
