Punjab Government Modifies Distribution Method for Nigahban Ramzan Package 2025:
In a significant policy shift, the Government of Punjab has announced a change in the distribution process of Rs. 10,000/- pay orders under the Nigahban Ramzan Package 2025. Initially, the pay orders were to be delivered by Pakistan Post, but in a recent high-level meeting chaired by the Chief Minister of Punjab, it was decided that District Administration will now handle the delivery.
This move comes after concerns were raised regarding the efficiency and timely disbursement of financial aid to deserving families. As per the new instructions, all pay orders currently with Pakistan Post will be handed over to the District General Post Offices (GPOs) and subsequently transferred to Deputy Commissioners for further distribution.
The Punjab Price Control & Commodities Management Department has issued an urgent notification regarding this change. District administrations must ensure prompt distribution to prevent delays in providing financial relief to eligible households during Ramzan 2025. Notification Describes;

SUBJECT: Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â DISPATCH OF PAY ORDERS THROUGH DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION INSTEAD OF PAKISTAN POST-NIGAHBAN RAMZAN PACKAGE 2025
                             I am directed to refer to the subject and to state that a meeting was held under the chairpersonship of Chief Minister Punjab today i.e. 01.03.2025 to review the progress of Nigahban Ramzan Package-2025 regarding disbursement of Rs. 10,000/- per deserving family through Pay Orders prepared by the Bank of Punjab through Pakistan Post at their door steps. After the detailed discussion following decisions are made:
1. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Pay orders will be delivered to the beneficiaries through District Administration instead of Pakistan Post
2. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Pay orders already received by the Pakistan Post from Bank of Punjab and are under process for delivery to beneficiaries will be handed over to concerned District GPO and Incharge of District GPO shall hand over all the Pay orders to concerned Deputy Commissioner for further distribution to the beneficiaries.
3. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â List of District GPOs with their addresses & contact numbers of concerned focal person on the following format must be shared with PC&CM Department within next one hour for further coordination with the concerned Deputy Commissioner.
