Punjab Schools to Get Upgraded Computers for ICT Labs:
The Government of Punjab’s School Education Department has issued an official notification outlining guidelines and specifications for procuring computers for ICT labs in Matric-Tech programs. The initiative aims to enhance technology-based learning in schools across Punjab, ensuring students have modern computer systems for practical IT education.
According to the notification, District Education Authorities (DEAs) have been instructed to procure computers that meet the following minimum specifications:
- Intel Core i7 (10th or 11th Generation) Processor
- 256GB SSD (Solid State Drive) or Hard Drive
- 8GB RAM
This move is part of Punjab’s commitment to digital education reforms, aiming to equip students with modern technology and prepare them for future tech-driven careers. Schools must adhere to the prescribed hardware requirements to maintain a standardized and efficient IT learning environment.

I. 10th or 11th Generation Intel Core i7 processor

III. 8GB RAM
