Sindh Government Approves Storybooks for Primary School Students:
The School Education & Literacy Department, Government of Sindh, has taken a significant step towards enhancing early-grade reading skills by approving the publication of 15 Sindhi and 15 Urdu storybooks for Grades 3 to 5. Additionally, the department has given a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the Scope and Sequence Booklet (Early Grade Reading Material) in both Sindhi and Urdu.
This approval aligns with the SELECT project, which focuses on improving literacy rates and ensuring quality educational resources for young learners. These storybooks are designed as Leveled Readers and Read-Aloud materials, which play a crucial role in developing language skills and comprehension among students.
The Sindh Government’s decision is expected to positively impact teachers, students, and parents, ensuring that early-grade students have access to well-structured and engaging reading materials. This move is a step forward in strengthening literacy education across the province.

SELD/CA/CW/18/2018-PP: With the approval of the competent authority, the School Education & Literacy Department, Govt. of Sindh is pleased to accord No Objection Certificate for approval of Fifteen (15) Sindhi Storybooks (Levelled Reader and Read Aloud) for Grades 3 to 5, along with Fifteen (15) Urdu Storybooks (Levelled Reader and Read Aloud) for Grades 3 to 5 and the Scope and Sequence Booklet (Early Grade Reading Material), Sindhi and Urdu version for Grades 3 to 5 for publication by SELECT project.
