No. DD(M)/PEF/2024 GOVERNMENT OF THE PUNJAB SCHOOL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT(MONITORING WING) Dated Lahore the 26th September, 2024 To All Chief Executive Officers (DEAs), Punjab Subject:        HANDING OVER OF OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT OF SCHOOLS UNDER PUBLIC SCHOOLS REORGANIZATION PROGRAM TO LICENSEES OF PUNJAB EDUCATION FOUNDATION I am directed A refer this department’s letter No. SO(ER-II)2-1/2024, dated 12.08.2024, and to state that to expedite the handing over process of schools to the successful licensees of Punjab Education Foundation. 2.                    I am further directed to state that the operational management, along with the school inventories, be handed over after verifying the CNIC and the licensee certificate issued by PEF officials in the case of Young Entrepreneur Group and Individual licensees. Whereas, schools under PSRP Phase I will be handed over to nominated employees of the institutional licensees. After the handing over process, Licensee will submit the functionality report (Annex-A), signed by the licensee, the concerned Deputy DEO, and the school in-charge teacher. Moreover, the shifting of government teachers from outsourced schools in Phase-I is linked to the NOC from PEF, in order to ensure uninterrupted educational activities at the outsourced schools. It is stated that the EPI Punjab has planned the Big Catch-Up activity in all the Districts of the Punjab from October 1-31/2024. The Big Catch-Up (BCU) is a global initiative launched in April 2023 to close immunization gaps caused by the backsliding of Immunization coverage during the COVID-19 pandemic, restore global immunization levels, and strengthen immunization system, so that Catch-up activities become an integral part of immunization program. This catch-up initiative will be instrumental in tracking zero dose and defaulter children under 05 Years. The goal of the BCU is to reach and vaccinate all un-vaccinated and under-vaccinated children. Therefore, you are requested to issue directions to all Government Schools as well as Private Schools of Vehari District to highlight importance and awareness of routine vaccination under 05 Years of children (those who have missed their routine antigen) in assembly sessions so that these children may cover during this BCU activity.
