Notification / OM No. No. AD(E.II.B)/0721/I.N/5437-5539 Dated 25-April-2025 Notification Issued By: Human Resource & Administration, Establishment Directorate, Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) WAPDA Abolishes Employees’ Children Quota and Deceased Employee Appointments Without Advertisement: In a significant policy shift, the Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) has officially withdrawn the long-standing Employees’ Children Quota (ECQ) and deceased employee family appointment provisions under various office orders. This change comes in compliance with the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s ruling dated 18th October 2024, as well as internal decisions taken during WAPDA’s meeting on 27th March 2025. Previously, the 20% quota for the children of WAPDA employees and job appointments for widows, widowers, and children of deceased employees in BPS-01 to BPS-15 were granted without advertisement. This practice has now been fully discontinued. Instead, WAPDA has decided that all such quota positions will now be merged with respective Provincial/Regional Quotas.
