GOVERNMENT OF KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWAFINANCE DEPARTMENT FD(SOSR-1) 1-1/2023 11th July, 2023 SUBJECT: GRANT OF ADHOC RELIEF ALLOWANCE-2023 TO THE EMPLOYEES OF GOVERNMENT OF KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA Dear Sir, The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been pleased to sanction an Adhoc Relief Allowance 2023 w.e.f. 01.07.2023 @ 30% of the basic pay as on 30.06.2023 to the employees in BS-17 to BS-22 and 35% to the employees in BS-03 to BS-16 (civil servants) of the Provincial Government including contingent paid staff and contract employees employed against civil posts in Basic Pay Scales on standard terms and conditions of contract appointment. 2. The amount of Adhoc Relief Allowance-2023:- i) will be subject to Income Tax, ii) will be admissible during leave and entire period of LPR except during Extra Ordinary Leave. iii) will not be treated as part of emoluments for the purpose of calculation of Pension/Gratuity and recovery of House Rent. iv) will not be admissible to the employees during the tenure of their posting/ deputation abroad. v) will not be admissible to the employees on their repatriation from posting/ deputation abroad at the rate and amount which would have been admissible to them had they not been posted abroad. 3. The term “Basic Pay” for the purpose of Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2023 will also include the amount of the personal pay granted on account of annual increment(s) beyond the maximum of the existing pay scales. 4. The above Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2023 shall be accommodated from within the budgetary allocation for the financial year 2023-24 by the respective Departments/ Organizations and no supplementary grants would be given on this account to all the government employees of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa w.e.f. 01.07.2023. Grant of increase in pension of the civil pensioners of the government of Sindh

GOVERNMENT OF SINDHFINANCE DEPARTMENT No.FD(SR-III)3-230/2023 Karachi dated the 06th July, 2023 OFFICE MEMORANDUM Subject: GRANT OF INCREASE IN PENSION TO THE CIVIL PENSIONERS OF THE GOVERNMENT OF SINDH The Government of Sindh has been pleased to sanction an increase @17.5% of net pension with effect from 1st July, 2023 until further orders to all civil pensioners of the Sindh Government. 2. This increase in pension @ 17.5% as mentioned at Para-01 above will also be admissible to the pensioners who would retire on or after 01st July, 2023. 3. For the purpose of admissibility of increase in pension sanctioned in this Department’s O.M. the term “Net Pension” means “pension being drawn” minus “Medical Allowance”. 4. The increase will also be admissible on family pension granted under the Pension-cum-Gratuity Scheme, 1954, Liberalized Pension Rules, 1977, on pension sanctioned under the Central Civil Services (extra ordinary pension) Rules as well as on the Compassionate Allowance under CSR-353. 5. If the gross pension sanctioned by the Provincial Government is shared with any Government in accordance with the rules laid down in Part-IV of Appendix-Ill to the Accounts Code, Volume-I, the amount of the increase in pension will be apportioned between the Federal Government and the other Government concerned on proportionate basis. 6. The increase in pension sanctioned in this O.M, will not be admissible on Special Additional Pension allowed in lieu of pre-retirement Orderly Allowance. 7. The benefit of increase in pension sanctioned in this notification will also be admissible to those Pensioners of the Sindh Government who are residing abroad (other than those residing in India and Bangladesh) who retired on or after 15.08.1947 and are not entitled to or are not in receipt of pension increase under the British Government’s Pension (increase) Acts. GOVERNMENT OF SINDHFINANCE DEPARTMENT FD(SR-I)01(32)/2023-24 6th July, 2023 OFFICE MEMORANDUM SUBJECT: GRANT OF ADHOC RELIEF ALLOWANCE-2023 TO ALL CIVIL SERVANTS OF SINDH GOVERNMENT AND REVISION OF RATES OF ALLOWANCES. The Government of Sindh has been pleased to sanction an adhoc relief allowance-2023 with effect from 1st July, 2023 @ 35% of Basic pay to BPS-01 to BPS-16 and 30% BPS-17 and above to all civil servants of Sindh government as well as contract employees appointed against civil posts in Basic Pay Scales on standard terms and conditions of contract appointment. 2. The amount of Adhoc Relief Allowance-2023; i) will be subject to Income Tax; ii) will be admissible during leave and entire period of LPR except during Extra Ordinary Leave (EOL); iii) will not be treated as part of emoluments for the purpose of calculation of Pension/Gratuity and recovery of House Rent; iv) will not be admissible to the employees during the tenure of their posting/ deputation abroad; and v) will not be admissible to the employees on their repatriation from posting/ deputation abroad at the rate and amount which would have been admissible to them had they not been posted abroad. 3. The term “Basic Pay” for the purpose of Adhoc Relief Allowance-2023 will also include the amount of the personal pay granted on account of annual increments(s) beyond the maximum of the existing pay scales. 5. DEPUTATION / ADDITIONAL CHARGE ALLOWANCE / SPECIAL PAY ON CURRENT CHARGE. The rates of Deputation / Additional Charge Allowance / Special Pay on Current Charge shall be revised with effect from 1st July, 2023 as follow: Sr. No Item Existing Rates (per month) Revised Rates(per month) i. Special Pay on Current Charge 20% of the Basic Pay subject to maximum Rs. 12,000/- 20% of the Basic Pay subject to maximum Rs. 20,000/- 6. SPECIAL CONVEYANCE ALLOWANCE TO DIFFERENTLY ABLED EMPLOYEES. The rates of Special Conveyance Allowance admissible to differently abled employees of the Sindh Government shall be revised from existing Rs. 2,000/- per month to Rs. 4,000/- per month in addition to normal Conveyance Allowance, with effect from 1st July, 2023. All other terms and conditions will remain the same as continued in this department’s Office Memorandum No.FD(SR-III)5-92/2016, dated 1st September, 2016. 7. The above allowances shall be accommodated from within the budgetary allocation for the financial year 2023-24 by the respective departments and no supplementary grants would be given on this account. GOVERNMENT OF THE PUNJABFINANCE DEPARTMENT NO.FD.SR-111-4-136/2023 18th July, 2023 SUBJECT: GRANT OF INCREASE IN PENSION TO CIVIL PENSIONERS OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE PUNJAB I am directed to state that the Governor of the Punjab has been pleased to sanction 5% (five percent) increase in pension of retired government employees / civil pensioners upto 80 years of age, and 20% increase in pension of retired government employees / civil pensioners who are over 80 years of age on July 1st, 2023. 2. The 15% increase in pension as allowed vide Para 12(i) of this Department’s circular letter No.FD-PC-2-1/201 1, dated 11-07-2011, 7.5% increase in pension allowed as vide Para I of this Department’s circular letter No.FD.SR.111-4-259/2015(A), dated 23-07-2015 and 15% increase in pension as allowed vide Para 1 of this Department’s circular letter No.FD.SR.111-4-160/2021, dated 21-07-2022, shall be admissible to the new pensioners who would retire on or after 01.07.2023. 3. The 5% increase in pension as mentioned at Para-1 above will also be admissible to the pensioners who would retire on or after 01.07.2023. 4. The undersigned is directed to refer to Finance Division’s O.M. No. F. 15(1)-Reg.6/2018-644 dated 03.07.2018 on the subject cited above and to state that the President has been pleased to sanction with effect from 1stJuly, 2023, to increase in minimum pension from current rate of Rs.10,000/- per month to Rs.12,000/- per month to civil pensioners of the Federal Government including civilians paid from Defence Estimates as well as Armed Forces Personnel and Civil Armed Forces Personnel. 2. Similarly, minimum family pension allowed to the family of a retired government employee including those paid from Defence Estimates as well as Armed Forces Personnel and Civil Armed Forces Personnel under the Pension-cum-Gratuity Scheme 1954, and Liberalized Pension Rules, 1977 has also been increased from current rate of Rs. 7,500/- per month to Rs. 9,000/- per month. 3.
