According to the latest notification, single-shift schools will operate from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, while double-shift schools will follow a split schedule. On Fridays, schools will observe a shorter schedule. These changes are implemented to facilitate students and staff during fasting hours while ensuring academic activities continue smoothly. The notice addresses the installation of a large pigeon cage on a residential rooftop in Nishat Colony, Walton Cantt, which has reportedly caused inconvenience to neighbors and obstruction in flight paths. According to the Cantonment Executive Officer, such installations can create public safety hazards, disrupt the urban environment, and must be removed immediately to avoid legal action. The property owner has been given 15 days to comply with the directive, failing which the Walton Cantt Board will take direct action for removal at the owner’s expense.
