As per the official notice dated 22nd May 2025, the summer holidays will commence from 1st June 2025 and will continue until 31st July 2025. This decision was made in line with the recommendations of the Sub-Committee of the Steering Committee on Education, which convened on 28th November 2024. The vacation schedule applies uniformly to all government and private educational institutions operating under the jurisdiction of the Sindh Education Department. As per the announcement from the Registrar’s Office, all Teaching Departments, Institutes, Centres, Constituent Colleges, and Schools under the university will observe summer holidays from Thursday, June 5, 2025, to Friday, August 29, 2025. However, the administrative staff of all departments and institutes will remain on duty during this period. Furthermore, it has been clarified that the final semester exams and courses of BS 8th Semester students must be completed prior to the start of the summer break. Departments that require continued academic activities due to special circumstances may conduct classes or examinations for outgoing sessions only after obtaining prior approval from the Vice-Chancellor. Teachers who were appointed or promoted on or before June 30, 2015, and have completed 10 years of regular service as SSTs by June 30, 2025, are eligible. The deadline to submit the required documents and ACRs/PER files is 30th June 2025. Teachers already considered in earlier correspondence (appointed before 30-04-2014) need not resubmit. All documents must be submitted in the prescribed sequence through respective DEOs and their establishment staff. Individual submissions by hand will not be accepted.
