Government Of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Announces 15% Pension Increase for All Retirees Effective July 2024-Notification

GOVERNMENT OF KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWAFINANCE DEPARTMENT(REGULATION WING) Peshawar, Dated the 23rd July, 2024 NOTIFICATION No.FDSO(SR-II)/2-4/2024/Pension: The Provincial Government has been pleased to sanction an increase @ 15% of net pension with effect from 1st July, 2024 and until further orders to all the Pensioners of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. 2.                 This 15% increase in pension as mentioned at para-1 above will also be admissible to the Pensioners who would retire on or after 01.07.2024. 3.                 For the purpose of admissibility of Increase in pension sanctioned in this notification the term “Net Pension” means “Pension being drawn” minus “Medical Allowance”. 4.                The increase will also be admissible on family pension granted under the Pension-Cum-Gratuity Scheme, 1954, Liberalized Pension Rules, 1977, on pension sanctioned under the Provincial Civil Servants Pension Rules (Extra Ordinary Pension) as well as the Compassionate Allowance. 5.                  If the gross pension sanctioned by the Provincial Government is shared with any other Government in accordance with the rules laid down in part-iv of Appendix-III the Accounts Code, Volume-I, the amount of the increase in pension will be apportioned between the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the other Government concerned, on proportionate basis. 6                      The increase in pension sanctioned in this notification will not be admissible on special additional pension allowed in lieu of pre-retirement orderly allowance. 7.                     The benefit of increase in pension sanctioned vide this notification will also be admissible to those Pensioners of Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who are residing abroad (other than residing in India and Bangladesh) who retired on or after 15.08.1947 and are not entitled to, or not in receipt of pension increase under the British Government’s Pension (increase) Acts. Dear Sir, The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been pleased to sanction w.e.f 1st July, 2024 and until further orders. an Adhoc Relief Allowance. 2024 @ 25% on running basic pay to the employees in BPS-01 to 16 and 20% on running basic pay to the officers in BPS-17 to 22 of the Provincial Government including contingent paid staff and contract employees employed against civil posts in Basic Pay Scales on standard terms and conditions of contract appointment. 2.         The amount of Adhoc Relief Allowance-2024:- 3.                The term “Basic Pay” for the purpose of Adhoc Relief Allowance-2024 will also include the amount of the personal pay granted on account of annual increments) beyond the maximum of the existing pay scales. 4.         The above Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2024 shall be accommodated from within the budgetary allocation for the year 2024-25 by the respective Departments/Organizations and no supplementary grants would be given on this account to all the government employees of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa w.e.f 01.07.2024. Punjab Government Announces 15% Pension Increase for Civil Pensioners Effective July 2024-Notification

Lahore. the 12th July, 2024 Subject:          GRANT OF INCREASE IN PENSION TO CIVIL PENSIONERS OF THE GOVERNIENT OF THE PUNJAB          I am directed to state that Governor of the Punjab has been pleased to sanction an increase @ 15% (fifteen percent) of net pension w.e.f. 01st July, 2024, until further orders to all civil pensioners of Government of the Punjab. 2.          The 15% increase in pension as allowed vide Para 12(i) of this Department’s circular letter No.FD-PC-2-1/2011, dated 11-07-2011.7.5% increase in pension allowed as vide Para I of this Department’s circular letter No.FD.SR.III-4-259/2015(A), dated 23-07-2015 and 15% increase in pension as allowed vide Para I of this Department’s circular letter No.FD.SR.III-4-160/2021, dated 21-07-2022, shall be admissible to the new pensioners who would retire on or after 01.07.2024. 3.       The 15% increase in pension as mentioned at Para-I above will not be admissible tothe pensioners who would retire on or after 01.07.2021. 4.        For the purpose of admissibility of increase in pension sanctioned in this circular letter, the term “Net Pension” means “pension being drawn” minus “Medical Allowance”. 5.       The increase will also be admissible on family pension granted under the Pension-cum-Gratuity Scheme, 1954. New Minimum Wage Rates Announced for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Workers: Effective July 1, 2023-Notification

GOVERNMENT OF KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA LABOUR DEPARTMENT Peshawar Dated, the 21st September, 2023 NOTIFICATION No.SOL/LD/8-4/2023/MWB/5264-78: In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 6 of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minimum Wages Act, 2013 (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Act No. XII of 2013), read with section 4 and sub-section (2) of section 5 thereof, and by revising the previously notified minimum wages, the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on the recommendations of the Minimum Wages Board, is pleased to declare the minimum rates of wages, as mentioned in Column No. 2 of the Table below, in respect of workers, as mentioned in Column No. 1 thereof, with effect from 1st July, 2023: Table Category of Workers Minimum Rates of Wages 1 2 Adult,    unskilled,    juvenile    and adolescent   workers   employed   in industrial     establishments                     and commercial establishments, whether registered or unregistered located in the       Province      of            Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. (a) (b) Per day [for eight (08) hours of work] Per month [twenty  six (26) working days] Rs. 1230.77/- (rupees one thousand two   hundred   thirty and    seventy-seven paisas only) Rs. 32,000/- (rupees thirty two thousand only) 2.The minimum wages shall be subject to the following conditions: (a) the employers in all industrial establishments and commercial establishments shall pay to their workers the wages at the rate not less than minimum wages as mentioned in the Table above; (b)       the minimum wages shall not be considered as maximum rates and any existing wages higher than the minimum wages mentioned in the Table above shall not be reduced. However, the employers shall be at liberty to pay higher wages either unilaterally on their own initiative or by collective agreement in view of any special consideration including higher grade, skill, experience and higher cost of living in a particular locality or other reason; (c)        the minimum wages for other categories of workers shall, in no case, be less than the minimum wages fixed herein; (d)       the employers shall revise, where necessary, the rate of remuneration for piece-rate  workers  so  as  to  ensure  that  workers  in  such  piece-ratedoccupations are enabled by working eight (08) hours a day and twenty six (26) days in each month, as the case may be, to receive wages not less than the minimum wages mentioned in the Table above;  (e)       the minimum wages shall be applicable to time rated workers including temporary workers, piece-rated workers and workers engaged on contract basis as per sub-section (2) of section 5 of the Act ibid; (f)        the workers shall continue to enjoy such facilities as house rent allowance or free house, electricity, water, conveyance, free medical aid, gratuity, bonus, pension, any form of insurance, provident fund, recreation, subsidized food, education, holidays and leave with pay, attendance allowance, and any other benefit already provided by the employer; (g)       no  variable  or  incentive  allowance            (non-statutory)  or  value  of  welfare facilities as mentioned in preceding clause shall be adjusted against the minimum wages; (h)       the daily/weekly working hours, conditions of overtime, work on weekly holidays or rest and on paid holidays etc, shall be regulated by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Factories Act, 2013, Act ibid  and other relevant labour laws for the time being in force; (i)        the provisions of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Factories Act, 2013 and other labour laws for the time being in force shall be applicable generally but more particularly with regard to the daily/weekly working hours, conditions of overtime work, work on day of rest and other similar matters; (j)        the wages of apprentices shall be regulated in accordance with the provisions of the Apprenticeship Ordinance, 1962; and (k)       female and trans gender workers shall get the same minimum wages as male workers receive for work of equal value.
