Government of The Punjab Notification Regarding Promotion of Librarian BS16 to-BS-17-Notification
GOVERNMENT OF THE PUNJABFINANCE DEPARTMENT Dated Lahore, the 29th July, 2024 NOTIFICATION No.FD.PC.1-1/77(Pt.V)(Vol-III).- In exercise of the powers conferred under rule 14 of the Punjab Civil Servants Pay Revision Rule, 1977, Governor of the Punjab is pleased to make the following amendment A the Schedule appended thereto, with immediate effect: AMENDMENT / ADDITION Under the mainheading “POSTS COMMON TO DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS”, after Sr. No. 80, following new entry shall be added: _________________________________________________________________ Serial No. Designation of the post Existing Pay Scale Revised National Pay-Scale Remarks 1 2 3 4 5 “80-A. Librarian incumbents i) 400-35-750/50-1,000 (NPS-16) For B.A/B.Sc. with Diploma in Library Science.ii) 500-50-1,000/ 50-1,250 (NPS-17) For those possessing Master’s Degree in Library Science. i) 625-40-825/50-1,325 (No.16) For B.AIB.Sc. with Diploma in Library Science.ii) 900-50-1,150/ 60-1,750 (No. 17) For those possessing Master’s Degree in Library Science. i) Librarians of all Administrative Departments appointed in BS-16 shall be entitled to BS-17 with effect from the date of appointment or passing of Master’s Degree in Library Science, whichever is later; andii) Administrative Departments are competent to grant BS-17 to incumbents of the posts in BS-16 who hold Master’s Degree in Library Science as already clarified vide Finance Department’s letter No.FD.PC.1- l/77 dated 13.12.1982.” Section Officer (PC)
