Peshawar High Court Ruling Enforced: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Private Schools Ordered to Give Mandatory 20% Sibling Fee Concession
Notification / OM No. No.Dir (Opr)/KP-PSRA/General File/2025 Dated 24-April-2025 Notification Issued By: Private Schools Regulatory Authority, Government Of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Relief for Parents – KPK Government Enforces 20% Fee Concession for Siblings in Private Schools: In an important update for parents across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the KP Private Schools Regulatory Authority (KP-PSRA) has issued a new notification dated 24th April 2025, enforcing a strict directive to all private schools regarding mandatory sibling fee concessions. According to this notification, all private schools — whether they operate separate campuses for boys, girls, primary, middle, or high school levels — are now bound to treat all branches as a single institute. As a result, they must provide a minimum 20% fee concession for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th child (and onward) enrolled within the same school system. This step follows the Judgment of the Peshawar High Court and reaffirms Clause 7(4)XV of the KP-PSRA Regulations 2018. It is a major relief for families with multiple children studying in private institutions and is expected to bring more transparency and fairness in fee structures. Clause 7(4)XV of KP-PSRA Regultions 2018 states that:- “Sibling fee concession shall not be less than 20% for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and onward within the same school”.
